Children and young adults with special needs often do not have programs created with their interests in mind. Given that there are limited supervised recreational opportunities for children and young adults with developmental disabilities, SUS recognized the need to assist families by providing after-school and weekend programs for their children.
SUS’ Weekend and After-School Respite Programs provide individualized attention and care in the evening Mon-Fri and/or Saturday mornings for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. These services are available during the day, evening, or weekend offering leisure-time and social activities. Separate programs are offered for children 5-12 years old, and young adults 13-21 years old.
