Every year, SUS’ SRO Intervention Project reaches out to provide services to approximately 600 individuals living with HIV/AIDS in commercial single-room occupancy (SRO) hotels and supportive transitional SROs.
Both our Outstationed Medical Care Team and our In-Place Harm Reduction Team – through education and persistent outreach – visit these SROs and provide crisis intervention, drug treatment referrals, housing referrals, harm reduction materials, medical case management, and health and nutritional education to this service deprived population.
