Happy Direct Support Professional Recognition Week to the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at S:US and everywhere!
This week, September 12-18, is a tribute to the heroic essential workers who are the heart and soul of supports for people with disabilities. We honor and respect the devotion and positive impact they have on the lives of the people we support.
Direct Support Professionals help people with disabilities with essential daily functions, medication administration, nutrition recommendations, domestic chores, understanding COVID-19 safety, and keeping their spirits up with fun activities. DSPs also help people learn how to do things for themselves. It is because of their care and compassion that those who receive our services continue to have enriching and rewarding lives.
