Ways to Give

Thank you for your gift, which helps S:US transform the lives of vulnerable New Yorkers: people living in poverty, people who have lost their home, people living with mental illness and substance use challenges, and people with developmental disabilities — all need a hand in changing up the hand they’ve been dealt.

Stocks

Gifts of stock are a smart way for you to help support our mission while also receiving great tax benefits. To learn more, please contact donate@sus.org.

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Some also provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. Contact your employer to see if your gift to S:US is eligible.

Gifts of Retirement Assets and Life Insurance

You can help transform lives, improve communities and break the cycle of poverty for future generations by making a tax-free gift from your IRA directly to S:US, which may qualify as your Required Minimum Distribution.

You can also provide support by naming S:US as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension, or other retirement plan. Depending on the gift, there may be immediate tax benefits, or savings to your estate.

Please call Kate Krug at 917-408-5375 or email kkrug@sus.org  for more information about how to make a gift of retirement assets and/or life insurance.

Gifts In Kind

In-kind goods and services are invaluable, given our limited resources. For more information, please contact donate@sus.org.
