Honoring Veterans

Veterans Day is Tuesday, November 11. What began as a way to celebrate the end of World War I, this holiday now honors all veterans.
S:US is participating in the Veterans Day Parade. This year will mark the 250th Anniversary of America’s military by celebrating the birth of its three senior service branches: the Army, Marine Corps, and Navy. The NYC parade is the largest Veterans Day commemoration in the nation.
Of the nearly 3,000 veterans and their families that we serve at S:US, most satisfy the federal guidelines for “very low-income.” We are among NYC’s largest veterans’ services providers. S:US works with veterans to prevent homelessness, receive rapid rehousing support, find employment opportunities, access resources, and stabilize their lives. S:US also provides behavioral health and other support services to help veterans plan for long-term stability.
Thanks for all you do to support veterans!
