Celebrate the Harvest and the Power of Community

Celebrate the Harvest and the Power of Community

Celebrate community, food access, and the power of growing together.

On Wednesday, September 16, Services for the UnderServed (S:US) invites you to our 16th Annual Harvest Celebration at one of our newest affordable and supportive housing community in the Morris Heights neighborhood in the Bronx.

Each year, the Harvest Celebration brings together residents, supporters, volunteers, community partners, and neighbors to recognize the incredible work of S:US’ Community Food Security and Urban Farms programs. It is a day to connect, learn, and celebrate how access to healthy food helps individuals and communities thrive.

As one of New York City’s largest urban farming and food access networks, S:US helps advance food access while creating opportunities for wellness, skill-building, and community connection. Our S:US Urban FarmsĀ®, gardens, community fridges, and food access initiatives provide nutritious food, vocational training, therapeutic horticulture, and meaningful engagement for hundreds of New Yorkers each year.

Growing More Than Food

S:US operates 98 urban farm and garden sites across New York City, creating opportunities for people to build skills, strengthen social connections, and contribute to healthier communities. In 2025 alone, participants harvested 14,000 pounds of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey, helping provide thousands of meals to New Yorkers.

Every seed planted, every harvest shared, and every meal served helps build stronger neighborhoods and healthier futures.
