April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time for all of us to come together to support, strengthen, and celebrate families. We can prevent child abuse by removing challenging barriers to healthy parenting.
As the White House proclamation says, “Every child deserves to live in a safe and loving household; yet, for hundreds of thousands of children across our Nation, abuse and neglect are a tragic reality.”
At S:US, we serve nearly 700 children on any given night in our housing, homeless shelters and eviction prevention program Homebase. We support strong families by helping them find a path to stability – through housing, mental health support, and other services.
