Canadian City Ends Its Homelessness Problem
Is it better to provide medical and mental health services to homeless individuals and then, only after they are better, provide housing to them? Or is it best practice to provide housing first and then, when each individual is safely housed, identify and treat the problems that caused their homelessness? One Canadian city believes it has found the answer and has made a video showcasing their success for the rest of North America to emulate.
The city found it was cheaper to provide housing for its homeless population than try to care for people on the street.
