Did you know that domestic violence is one of the main causes of homelessness?
S:US has a long history of helping survivors of domestic violence through our domestic violence respite centers so this October, for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are joining with the Mayor’s office to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence and the resources available to survivors.
We are doing this by taking part in the 3rd annual NYC Go Purple Day which takes place this Thursday, October 6.
Here’s how you can help: this Thursday do the following:
1. Wear purple!
