S:US Participates in NYC Pride March
For the second year in a row, S:US participated in the NYC Pride March on June 30th. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff, friends, family, and people served who represented S:US at the Pride March. This year marked the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and the 40th anniversary of Heritage of Pride, the nonprofit organization that plans and organizes New York City’s official LGBTQIA+ Pride events each year.
NYC Pride’s 2024 theme, “Reflect. Empower. Unite,” resonates deeply with S:US’ mission. It exemplifies our dedication to encourage individuals, advocates, and community leaders to reflect on current injustices and to empower NYC communities to take collective action in shaping a more equitable and inclusive future. Our presence at this event underscores our commitment to advancing social justice and creating opportunity for all.

We would also like to acknowledge the Brooklyn Clubhouse members for designing our spectacular S:US Pride t-shirt! They received several compliments as we marched from Madison Square Park to the Stonewall National Monument. And a special shout out to our day habilitation program participants for printing our Pride t-shirts!
As we reflect on this year’s theme, S:US is proud to celebrate the diversity of our workforce and supports LGBTQ+ staff, people served, and our community.
