S:US Partnership Brings Technology Resources to People Served

Access to technology can open the door to new opportunities in employment, education, and personal growth. Thanks to a new partnership between Services for the UnderServed (S:US), Tech FIN, and the Opportunity Hub, dozens of the people we serve are now better equipped to pursue their goals.
On June 18, 2026, the S:US Centralized Employment Hub hosted a laptop giveaway event that provided 27 S:US people served with free, fully functioning laptops. Participants came from programs across the organization, including Homeless Services, Behavioral Health, and Developmental Disabilities, ensuring that individuals from a variety of backgrounds could benefit from this valuable resource.

For many participants, receiving a laptop means having the tools needed to search for jobs, complete online training programs, access educational opportunities, stay connected to support networks, and work toward greater independence.
“This laptop will help open doors for my career. Since I’m already working and I have resources, I could use this for my artwork because I’m trying to open up a gallery. This could also save some data for me, things my phone can’t do. This is a career opener if an opportunity comes through.“ – Pedro, person served by S:US.
The excitement throughout the day was unmistakable. Clients expressed gratitude as they received devices that will help them pursue their personal and professional goals. The event highlighted the impact that access to technology can have on creating pathways to stability and success.
As S:US continues to expand opportunities for the people we serve, partnerships like this help remove barriers and provide practical tools that support long-term growth. We look forward to continuing this collaboration with TechFIN and bringing additional resources to the people we serve in the future.
