Stephanie Doe or Ms. Doe as she is fondly referred to, has made an impressive commitment to providing social services to shelter residents. With nearly 25 years of experience at a shelter in Harlem, her extensive tenure exemplifies her unwavering dedication to both people served by S:US and staff.
Since the shelter opened, Ms. Doe has served as the sole Director of Social Services. In her role, she effectively manages the daily operations of the case management and housing staff, while also providing essential support to the operational team. Ms. Doe’s leadership has consistently ensured that S:US programs not only meet but exceed compliance standards and provides necessary resources to homeless individuals. Additionally, her commitment to training and mentoring new team members has been vital in cultivating the next generation of leaders.
During the unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic, Ms. Doe played a crucial role in keeping the shelter operational. She often shares inspiring stories about her dedication to providing services to residents, demonstrating remarkable resilience and compassion during such a difficult time. By building strong relationships with landlords and property management teams, she successfully facilitated resident placements during staff transitions.
